In October 2018, Crawford County Job and Family Services began partnering with The Ohio District 5 Area Agency on Aging, Inc. (AAA) to administer the Adult Protective Services program. As a leader in the Aging Network, AAA offers an array of programs and services that promote the independence and safety of older adults. Highly trained and specialized AAA Adult Protective Services Case Workers handle reports made to the Crawford County Job and Family Services for alleged elder abuse, neglect or exploitation.
AAA not only investigates such reports, it actively takes the proactive approach to keep people safe and independent longer as they age. The accessibility to link programs and resources needed to support unique needs is shared through the AAA staff, which allows the individuals to be assisted in a timely manner. Solid community partnerships with Crawford County and AAA promote the ability to seamlessly meet the needs of those individuals they work with in complex situations as appropriate.
